Design
As a sequel to Phelan Holdings’ success with
Cape Royale with its French
leanings, NH-Oscar Pearse bows to ‘Italianate’ urban aesthetics. The golden façade punctuated by tall,
double paneled windows and balconettes sits atop a broad band of full-length doors and windows at
street level. These invite you into a vast double volume lobby clad in white marble, where you would
expect to hear the staccato of stilettos above the murmur of business dealings.
Generously proportioned public spaces include a restaurant and bar, meeting facilities, a panoramic,
urban-styled rooftop pool deck and a spa as well as the sleek, green marble corridors which unfold
over 15 floors into the intimacy of the living spaces.
The standard rooms are appointed with a contemporary 4-poster bed draped with the finest
Egyptian cotton muslin, creating a screen of privacy at the centre of the space which enjoys
the luxury of a bath niche, large closets, designer vanities, a TV and hi-fi system, a writing
desk with exotic inlay (commissioned from India) as well as a living area in which outside guests
can be received over drinks. The suites include an additional dressing table, a separate living
room and a sleek kitchenette with all units equipped with the highest level of international IT
connectivity.
All constellations of room sizes and suites resonate with simple elegance. A considered layout,
clean lines that consistently guide the design of the custom-made furniture, richly contrasting
textures and the sophisticated restraint of the tonal palette, create interiors that are both
functional and timeless – a true design masterpiece that will exceed the highest international
expectation.
